Passenger Car, Station Wagon, Van and Truck Hitches, Weight-carrying Hitches
are used for lightweight trailers up to 3,500 lbs. GTW and 300 lbs. TW. Hitches support the trailer TW just as if it were luggage mounted on the hitch ball. There are two basic styles of weight-carrying hitches: Fixed Drawbar / Removable Drawbar

Weight-Distributing Hitches
These hitches apply leverage between the towing vehicle and trailer causing the TW to be carried by all axles of the tow vehicle and trailer. Hitches are selected on the basis of GTW and TW, and to some extent, on the weight to be carried in the trunk of the tow vehicle.

For safety, your tow vehicle must be capable of towing the intended trailer. Under no circumstances should the trailer's GTW and TW exceed the vehicle's maximum towing capacity. Capital Hitch is the one to know when you tow!
